Digital X-Rays are almost instantaneous. When compared to older X-Ray machines used in dentistry, these can take at least fifteen minutes out of your overall visit, due to the fact that digital X-Rays have no developing time. Not only do Digital X-rays provide a convenience to you, but they help the dentist to better understand your unique situation. Through our computer software, we can zoom into certain areas we need to look at and adjust the picture to get a better understanding of certain problems. This type of X-rays also allows for better patient-dentist communication, where you yourself can see the X-rays and ask what something you see is.

Sealants
The issue:
Normal pits and grooves on the surface of  back teeth can cause small amounts of decay. By trapping food that can’t be removed by brushing, or washed out by saliva or water, in these pits and grooves, decay can go unnoticed for long periods of time.
The Solution:
By applying a sealant on these pits and grooves, we can help guard against decay that we normally might not think about. The sealant is applied onto a tooth’s enamel and are perfectly colorless, so it’s impossible to tell if you have it on or not. Sealants are an excellent choice for children because it helps to protect a very vulnerable spot for children to get tooth decay. It’s also just as useful for adults!
